Background: Mr.Stewart has been in the education field for ten years. Teaching social studies/history to 7th-12th graders. This is Mr. Stewart's eight year in the Deer Valley District, and sixth year at O'Connor High School. Other DVUSD schools Mr. Stewart has taught at are: Hillcrest Middle School and Gavlin Peak School. The first three years of his career was spent in the Peoria District. Mr. Stewart has been a middle school and high school coach for the past 11 years, coaching a variety of sports. Currently, Mr.Stewart is a teaching American History at O'Connor High School. As well as coaching the Football and Basketball teams.
Mr. Stewart is a proud graduate of Arizona State, Cactus High School, and Desert Palms Elementary. He served his country in the United States Navy as a Damage Controlman, Petty Officer Second Class, aboard the U.S.S. Longbeach CGN-9. http://www.usslongbeach-assoc.org/
Mr. Stewart has a lovely wife, Tammy, and three children, Austin age 11, and Brittany, age 9, and Rhett age 4. Mr. Stewart enjoys visiting historic sites, watching the Phoenix Coyotes, NASCAR, and playing golf.
